Barry M Gelly Nails

Barry M have recently launched a new range of nail polishes to their collection. I have always loved the Barry M nail varnishes due to their affordability and fantastic colour range. These new Gelly High Shine nail paints are no exception to my love for the brand. Keep reading to find out exactly what I think of them...

I LOVE how shiney these paints are on the nail! the packaging claims that they have 'high shine' and they really do. The thick consistency of the polish really gives a high shine and 'gelly' look which I love. Like the other polishes from Barry M the Gellys come in a fantastic colour range of 18 different colours! I purchased mine from boots for £3.99 which I think is a fantastic price for the quality of this product. As you can see from the images below I purchased the bright coral shade 'Passion Fruit' and the minty green shade 'Greenberry'.

The thick consistency of the varnish also means that you do not need to add lots and lots of coats to the nail in order to achieve an opaque base. The images below show how opaque the polish is after just one coat on the nail. I did find that the Greenberry colour needed two coats whereas Passion Fruit looked fine after just one coat, however this may have been how thick I applied the nail polish to my nails. One point I would make about the polish is because of the thickness of the product it may be too much on top of acrylic/gel nails, however on top of a natural nail I think it looks fantastic and creates a real gel effect. The polish does take quite a while to dry because of the thick consistency however once dry it really does look fantastic and I would recommend these to anyone thinking of making a purchase!!

Hope you have enjoyed this post! Let me know what nail varnishes you have been loving or any other colours in the gelly range you have tried and loved as I am keen to purchase some more :)
